UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:
Effective personal relationships are often thwarted by destructive forces. What can counteract these forces? Paul and John instructed believers to walk steadfastly in the love of God by loving one another and following God’s commandments.
CONCLUDING REFLECTION:
It is of utmost importance that we as believers in Christ make sure to walk in love and hold fast to God’s Word. We cannot tell others how to walk if we are not walking in love ourselves. Showing love to others replicates the love that God shows toward us. As we pray for each other, hold each other accountable, and unite in spiritual oneness, we will reflect the love of Christ to the world and others will be drawn to Christ not just because of our words, but also because of our light!
PRAYER: Lord, make us instruments of your love and peace. Let us make a difference in the world through standing boldly for your truth. Even when others may not understand, let us still make a stand. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
