When Snoop Dogg announced back in January that he was working on a gospel record, Bible of Love Vol. 1, the gospel community along with his fans couldn’t believe it.  Coming from West Coast Gangsta Rap to the Holy sounds of Gospel is bit far fetched.  That’s until Snoop did the impossible and hit #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart for six weeks straight upon its album release on March 16th.  The record features gospel most beloved voices like the Legendary Clark Sisters, Rance Allen, Mary Mary, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond and Tye Tribbett along with gospel beloved like Charlie Wilson and Pattie Labelle.

It all comes full circle with Snoop’s latest move toward the faith: From Gangster To Gospel To Redemption, a fresh three-part YouTube series with Kirk Franklin.

In Episode 1 of the new hip-hop-gospel collaborative venture, Kirk and Snoop talk all things spirituality, faith and its grace on unholier moments from their respective pasts.  Check it out!
