He was one time called “AMERICA’S DAD” for his role on one of the greatest sitcoms in TV history, The Cosby Show; he was once a top stand up comedian; and he was once slated to purchase the NBC Network; but today he is a felon and convicted sex crime inmate.  His name is Bill Cosby.

Bill Cosby at the age of 81 was led from a courtroom in New Jersey in handcuffs after being sentenced to 3 – 10 years in prison.  He didn’t even get to go home, he went straight to prison.

Cosby is the first celebrity to be sent to prison during this new #MeToo movement.

Bill Cosby had many accusers had over 60 women to come forth, but it was Andrea Constand who brought the case before the court and got him convicted.

Andrea Constand:  Cosby took my “beautiful, young spirit and crushed it.”

After the sentencing, Cosby’s Lawyer yelled out:  this is the “most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States.”   He also said:  “All three of the psychologists who testified against Cosby were “white women who make money off of accusing black men of being sexual predators.”

Cosby’s Lawyers ask the court if he could stay home during the appeal, but the court denied that request, saying that if they did that – that he would be getting celebrity treatment and “he could quite possibly be a danger to the community.”

The comedian — who is legally blind and uses a cane — removed his watch, tie and jacket and walked out in a white dress shirt and red suspenders, his hands cuffed in front of him. He appeared downcast, his eyes failing to meet the camera, in a mug shot released by authorities.

Cosby must serve the minimum of three years before becoming eligible for parole.
