UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

The wonders of the universe amaze even the keenest of human minds. Who is responsible for such marvelous and breathtaking creativity? Genesis 1 informs us that God is the Creator of all these marvelous wonders.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

The Bible purposely begins with a testimony to the universal activity of God. God’s creative activity not only brought the world into being, but was also effectively engaged in the lives of individual peoples long before Israel came into being as a nation. God as Creator has a purpose that spans the world, and since divine deeds are rooted in the divine will, God’s redemptive activity reflected in creation must be understood to serve this universal intention. He is the God of all. He made us all and will redeem all who respond to His offer of redemption.

PRAYER:

Eternal God before whom the generations rise and fall, we give You thanks for Your wondrous acts of creation. We acknowledge Your sovereignty and care for that which You have so wonderfully created. We lift our hands and hearts to You in praise and adoration for the mighty things You have done to redeem us and to make us whole and complete. In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
