NASAR Chairman & CEO is Brian France.  He regulates driving on Race Car Tracks, but he’s in some driving hot water and it’s not on the Tracks.

The man that tells Race Car driving what they can and can’t do has now been told that he’s been driving wrong when he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Brian France announced on Monday he was taking an indefinite leave of absence following his arrest in the Hamptons on charges of driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of oxycodone.

He said in a statement on Monday that effective immediately he would be taking a leave of absence from his position as head of NASAR “to focus on my personal affairs.”

Brian France:

“I apologize to our fans, our industry and my family for the impact of my actions last night.”
He has been Chairman of NASCAR since 2003.
