Kirk Franklin is an artist who’s extended his talents to books, businesses and more over the past 20+ years, paving the way for a contemporary sound in urban, Christian music.

Since releasing his first album, Kirk Franklin & The Family (1993), which topped gospel charts for almost two years straight, Kirk Franklin has gone on to release 14 more albums including those with The Family and Nu Nation choirs he created. Fusing untraditional music styles along the way, he also became the first gospel artist to have a music video played on MTV.

Hailing as the biggest selling gospel artist in sound scan history (over 10 million albums sold), Kirk Franklin has earned over 10 Grammys, over 40 Stellar awards, over 15 Dove awards, 12 NAACP Image awards and three BET awards.
