If you ever hear the name Sharea Darnell, it probably won’t be on good terms, because Sharea Darnell is in some hot water, and I mean some real hot water!!!
A federal jury has convicted Ms. Darnell in Williamsburg, Virginia on fraud and tax charges after prosecutors said she charged over a half-million dollars on her boss’s credit cards.
Sherea Darnell is a former manager at a Williamsburg, Virginia, eye care center.
Prosecutors said she used the doctor’s credit cards to charge some $514,000 in personal transactions, including her son’s preschool tuition.
During the trial, it was also revealed that she took over $90,000 in cash advances. What did she do with that money? She hired maid serves, bought clothes and airline tickets.
How she got caught? She resigned from the Eye Care center, but continued to use the boss’s credit cards, when the Doctor discovered the fraud.
How much time is she facing? She faces a maximum penalty of 30 years. Sentencing is set for October.
