BARBARA BUSH, the wife of George H.W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States has died at the age of 92.
Mrs. Bush was also the mother the George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States; and also the mother of ironically the 43rd Governor of Florida – Jeb Bush.
She died on Tuesday April 17 at her home in Houston.
Mrs. Bush — “What you see with me is what you get. I’m not running for president — George Bush is,” she said at the 1988 Republican National Convention, where her husband, then vice president, was nominated to succeed Ronald Reagan.
A funeral is planned Saturday at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, which Mrs. Bush and her husband, former President George H.W. Bush attended. Mrs. Bush will lie in repose Friday at the church for members of the public who want to pay respects. Saturday’s service will be by invitation only, according to the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation
