Colin Kapernicke sat down during the National Anthem last season in protest of Police Brutality.
Because of that action, he has not gotten a job with any NFL Teams, and it seems like the bigger this protest gets, the less like a chance that he’ll get one any time soon.
The protest has gone League Wide, and even into other sports.
The Baltimore Ravens all kneeled this past Sunday and locked their arms in unity. A Former Raven great Ray Lewis locked arms and kneeled with them.
Since then, there are a lot of people who were not approving of Ray Lewis – the Baltimore All Time Great kneeling during the National Anthem. Now they are asked the Stadium to take down the “Ray Lewis Statue” at M&T Bank Stadium.
Close to 50,000 people have signed a petition online asking for the statute to be taken down.
The petition on CHARGE.ORG says the anthem honors the United States and its veterans. It reads: “To kneel during it is disrespectful, regardless of what you are protesting.”
The Stadium Authority has added extra security to the stadium and to the Ray Lewis Statute.
