UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

People rarely cross cultural boundaries in significant ways. What should motivate us to do so? Acts 8 contains record of a cross-cultural encounter in which Philip was called by God to witness to Jesus, the Son of God, as the basis of true meaning and purpose.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

Engaging in true missions involves moving beyond the parameters of the regular membership and reaching out to a population that is unsaved and often different from the church demographic. All around us there are needs to be met, and all we have to do is open our eyes, open our hearts, and open our spirits. Ask God to show you ways to experience organic evangelism and make an impact on the world for the glory of God. Christ is the one who made both Jews and Gentiles into one group. He broke down the barrier of hatred that divided us with His sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross.

PRAYER:

Oh LORD, you have called us to reach beyond where we are to people who have never seen the light of your love. Let us never be satisfied with business as usual, but help us to see people through your eyes and to love them with your love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
