If you are a fast driver and you constantly drive on the Washington Beltway “FAST” – things are about to change!!!

After a 21 day warning period; Prince George’s County is going live today with 2 mobile speed camera’s.

The first two camera’s were installed on the Beltway as they say to improve Safety in Work Zones, and right now in Suitland, Maryland it is a work zone.

The cameras were installed along Interstate 495 near the bridge work over Suitland Road in Prince George’s County. Tickets will be issued to drivers caught traveling 67 mph or faster. The speed limit along that stretch of highway is 55 mph.

Two new speed cameras on the Capital Beltway in Maryland began issuing $40 tickets on Monday in an effort to improve safety in work zones.
