According to multiple reports, “Scandal” the popular show that upgraded Kerry Washington‘s profile, helped Shonda Rhimes dominate TV and helped usher in a new season for Black TV, is ending after 7 seasons.
The decision was Rhimes’ call, who has enjoyed astronomical success with her “TGIT” army of television hits. “Scandal” turned Kerry Washington into a major star, and its success helped cement Rhimes’ status as a Hollywood shot caller.
We’re gonna miss Olivia Pope and those gladiators…
