It’s easy to trust God when things are fine. Bills paid, ways made, kids behaving, no phone calls from the teachers, spouse fine, health good, a career you like, money in the bank, money in your retirement fund, having a retirement fund…things just going good.
But it is infinitely more difficult to trust him when things are not so fine – sickness, pain, disappointment, loss of job, loss of money, loss of a loved one… But that is when we need to trust God all the more. Trust in his plans for our lives even when things in our life look out of control and crazy. Every good day, every bad day works to build our history, our character and our testimony.
So we shouldn’t try to figure things out on your own. Not anything. Trust God for everything! Pray. Talk to him about everything. Listen for his voice. Ask him to lead us. Ask him to guide us. Ask him to tell us where to go. What to do. And trust Him to do just that. We have a father that cares. And he loves us so much. He says just trust me, I got you.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
