It’s opening day for the Washington Nationals as they play their first game at home at Nat’s Park in Downtown DC.

First pitch is at 1:05 pm; the center field gate opens at 10:00 am this morning.

The Nationals will go with their ace Stephen Strasburg who has been injured for most of his career, but when healthy is among the best in Major League Baseball.

So traffic on the west side of the Capitol will be heavy to say the least; so if your commute home takes you South Capitol Street outbound, you may want to rethink that and change your route.  Opening day is always a big deal, and lots and lots of people will be in attendance.

The first game is against the Florida Marlins.

GO NATS!!!  WE’LL SEE YOU AT THE BALL PARK.
