Saturday Morning March 18th is a day that will be long remembered in the minds and hearts of many!!!

On that morning at 8:00 am — over 1,200 persons packed into Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland for our annual Pastor’s Prayer Breakfast as we at Radio-One honored 20 great men and women of God in the DMV, Fredericksburg and Richmond, Virginia.

Before Breakfast was served, BET Sunday Best Contestant “Latice Crawford” took the mic and blessed the congregation with two soul stirring selections from her “Diary of a Church Girl” DC.

Then a delicious breakfast was served – after being blessed by one of the Honorees.

After Breakfast, we paid tribute to the Pastor’s that were nominated by their parishioners and it was an excellent show of Gospel unity as each Pastor was awarded a Glass Monument for their work in this community.

After honoring the Pastor’s – Pastor Donnie McClurkin took to microphone with is Golden Voice and blessed those in attendance and those tuning in on Facebook Live!!!  Donnie did an Old Hymn of the Church and then gave his testimony of how this latest single came to be – and then sung it!!!

Immediately following Pastor Donnie was our guest Speaker Pastor E. Dewey Smith from Atlanta, Georgia and believe me; the man did not disappoint anyone!  He gave a rousing sermon that touched the hearts of not only the Church Members in attendance, but also touched the Pastors that were in the building — the Honorees and those not be honored.

We celebrated the Birthday of Archbishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr. – who was also an honoree.

We also surprised two of the honorees with a $1,000 check to the Pastor who had been Pastoring the longest, and again it was Bishop Alfred Owens, and we honored the Pastor who was the newest Pastor –  and that was Pastor Gore who had been Pastoring only a Year and a half.

It was a marvelous event; the type of event that the whole Gospel Community should witness!!!  Next year we’ll do it again and hopefully we can honor your Pastor and you can attend – especially if you missed it this year.

It only gets BIGGER & BETTER!!!

GOD BLESSED!!!
