Last week President Donald Trump made some comments about Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings.
It all started when Reporter April Ryan asked Trump a question during a White House news conference, and during his response, she asked if he would include the Congressional Black Caucus in his meetings. He responded: “You wanna set it up; set up the meeting? I’m sure you know them.”
A few days later Donald Trump tweeted that he had tried to contact Congressman Elijah Cummings and the Congressional Black Caucus. That’s when Cummings fired back saying that Trump had not tried to contact them.

After a few days of going back and forth, Donald Trump and Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings came together to combat sky-high prescription drug costs. The two political rivals found common ground to help those whose lives depend on these life-saving medications.
“We had more in common than differences,” said Cummings.
Cummings also talked to Trump about some recent “Black Neighborhood” comments, when Trump made it seem like all Black neighborhoods are slum. Cummings told Trump to be careful of his comments about Black neighborhoods because all Black neighborhoods and not slums; and there are many neighborhoods that are quite upscale, even on the rich side!!
