In 2013 – Bowie State University won their second illustrious CIAA Basketball Tournament Crown.
Now you can add a third one because this past Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina, they captured the crown again and once again the Black College World is congratulating Bowie State Men’s Basketball Team.
The Bowie State Bulldogs captured the crown with a 62-54 Thrashing of Fayetteville State University of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The Tournament MVP was Bowie State’s Ahmaad Wilson who scored 20 points while playing at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center, the home of Michael Jordan’s NBA Charlotte Bobcats.
Bowie State University Coach: “It was one of those games where you had to be gritty, it wasn’t pretty. Both teams struggled offensively due to good defense. We just stuck with it.”
