The cost of parking your car or truck in some parts of downtown D.C. will change as of today.
Parking meters in the Penn Quarter/Chinatown section of downtown D.C. will be higher starting today; and much higher. The rate with change from $1.50 an hour to $3.25 an hour!!!
Now rates will vary from meter to meter and will change depending on the time of day.
The current rates were set last October.
