A Medical Doctor in Texas has been sentenced to “Life” after a series of botched surgeries.
Neurosurgeon Christopher Duntsch was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of intentionally inflicting injury to an elderly patient.
Back in 2015 Dr. Duntsch was indicted on five counts of aggravated assault.
The current trial focused on a 2012 surgery that left a then 74 year old Mary Efurd in a wheelchair.
Prosecutors are accusing Dr. Duntsch of intentionally injuring patients including Ms. Efurd. His attorney is outraged saying that no Medical Doctor has ever been prosecuted or sentenced for medical surgeries.
He is accused of 32 botched surgeries in 4 hospitals over an 18 month period, multiple paralysis and two died.
