Have you ever sat in traffic going to work and said to yourself or said out loud – “This has to be the worst traffic in the World!!”

Well unless you live in Los Angeles, California, that statement may not be true, because Los Angeles is the #1 city for sitting in traffic during rush hour.

Drivers in California spent 104 hours in congested traffic year.  In second place came Moscow with 91 hours, and third place was New York City with 89 hours.

 

The United States had half of the cities in the top 10 most congested areas in the world.  The average U.S. Driver spend an average of 42 hours sitting in traffic per year.

Here is a list of the top ten cities with residents sitting in Rush hour traffic around the United States.

Being stuck in traffic cost the average U.S. driver $1,400 last year and nearly $300 billion for all drivers nationwide.

Of 240 U.S. cities studied, in Parkersburg, West Virginia., spent the least amount of time stuck in traffic during peak hours at three hours per year.
