Katherine Kempson – a 49 year old from the Carroll Township in York County, Pennsylvania has done the almost unthinkable.

She was arrested for check forgery.  That might not sound too unusual, but how she got caught is another story.  Kempson tried to buy a million dollar house with a $1.2 million check from a Credit Union.

Katherine Kempson used the internet to copy a business logo from the Members First Federal Credit Union to create the check for $1.2 million.  Authorities also found out that she had forged another check for $60,000 to a real estate agency as part of the whole buying ordeal.

The credit union’s fraud department initiated the investigation and called Police.
