An man in the suburbs of Chicago is suing McDonald’s in two counties in Illinois because he says that the “Extra Value Meal” is more expensive than when you buy each item individually.

Case in point:  The “Extra Value Meal” cost $5.90; but if you bought the same items individually, it totals $5.49.

So his argument is – where is the “Extra Value”?

His name is James Gertie and he is a bus driver and he says the lawsuit is more about principle, not about the $.41.

The complaint seeks an injunction to keep McDonald’s from pricing value meals higher than items purchased separately.
