After being at odds with President-Elect Donald Trump over his controversial statement and negative campaign run, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser will travel to New York to meet with the next President.

Former Radio-One emplyoyee and now Spokeswoman for Mayor Bowser said The Mayor called Trump and he agreed to meet with her about issues concerning Washington, D.C.

With D.C. being a predominately Democratic city and not one that voted for Donald Trump, he still agreed to meet with Bowser.   The Mayor said even with our differences, “some mending of relationships” is needed.

They meet this morning in New York.
