Anne Arundel County Sheriff Ronald Bateman was arrested Sunday night.

 Anne Arundel County police are not currently releasing the details of the arrest but a spokesman with the department says it is domestic related.

Online court records show Bateman was charged with second degree assault — a misdemeanor.
