This gospel singer has sinned once again.
Grammy-nominated performer James Fortune pleaded guilty on Tuesday to assaulting his wife — the second time he has admitted to abusing a family member.
Fortune, 37, accepted a plea deal for a third-degree felony assault charge for the 2014 attack.
The “You Survived” singer was sentenced to five days in jail and five years of probation, and faces up to 10 years in prison if he violates it. He will also have to go through a “batterer’s intervention” program.
Fortune made no comment outside a Houston courtroom after taking the plea and did not return calls from the Daily News.
