A suspect has been arrested in connection with three bank robberies in Montgomery County on Thursday.

The male suspect, who has not been named, was arrested in Glenarden Thursday after a Prince George’s County police officer spotted a Toyota Corolla matching the description of the robber’s car.

Montgomery County Police Officer Rick Goodale says the banks, within 4 miles of each other, were robbed about 15 minutes apart Thursday morning.

The first bank hit was the Chevy Chase SunTrust on Connecticut Avenue near Jones Bridge Road. That happened at 11:20 a.m.
Ten minutes later, about 3 miles away, the Chevy Chase Capital One on Connecticut Avenue near University Boulevard was robbed.

Then five minutes later, about 1 mile away, the Kensington BB&T on University Boulevard was robbed.

Goodale says no one was hurt.

The Prince George’s Police Department has scheduled a news conference for Friday afternoon to discuss the arrest.
