WASHINGTON — Children attending a homecoming dance don’t typically continue their evening in a bar, yet a local vice principal has been convicted of taking one of his students out drinking after homecoming last year in Alexandria, Virginia.

Aaron Engley, 42, used to be Vice Principal at West Potomac High School in Fairfax County.

In a plea agreement that allows him to be released without serving jail time, Engley was found guilty, in Alexandria Juvenile/Domestic Relations District Court, of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Engley’s 12-month sentence is suspended as long as he stays out of trouble for a year. He’s also been ordered to stay away from the 17-year-old girl he admits taking to two Alexandria bars in October 2014.

Engley now resides in Corolla, North Carolina.
