WASHINGTON — D.C. police are searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in Northwest D.C. early Saturday morning.

The Metropolitan Police Department said the sexual assault occurred at the 3500 block of Macomb Street in Northwest D.C.

The woman entered a vehicle she thought was an Uber car, when the driver of the silver sedan pulled out a knife and sexually assaulted her.

Police said the woman was able to get away without further injury.

The suspect is described as Middle Eastern male, early thirties, with black curly hair.

Anyone with information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.

Uber’s website says that when you book an Uber ride, “You’ll see your driver’s name, license plate number, photo, and rating when your request is confirmed — so you know who’s picking you up ahead of time.” Those who use this service may want to double-check this information before getting into the car.
