MAY 10, 1975 – “BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS” – charted with their “Natty Dread” album, reaching #92. It was the first of seventeen chart albums through 1995. The band was originally called the “Wailin’ Wailers” because they used to start out crying. Bob Marley worked alternatively as a forklift driver, a waiter, a Chrysler assembly line worker, and a lab assistant at DuPont Chemicals before succeeding as a reggae star.
