(Rockwall, TX) — A former teacher at a Rockwall Christian school may go to court after being fired for getting pregnant out of wedlock. Cathy Samford tells News 8 that Heritage Christian Academy let her go last year after she admitted to the pregnancy. Her attorney believes the school violated federal and state law for terminating her contract. The principal says the firing was justified because Heritage is a private school and that Samford violated the morality clause in her contract.
