The questions about Donovan McNabb’s future in Washington can end.

The Washington Football Team agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Pro Bowl QB on Monday, ESPN and NFL.com reported. The deal is said to be worth $78 million with $40 million guaranteed.

The agreement comes just two weeks after McNabb was benched for the final minutes of a 37-25 loss in Detroit. Coach Mike Shanahan said at the time he benched McNabb — in favor of backup Rex Grossman — because he was not convinced McNabb was healthy enough to operate his two-minute offense.
